Grilled Salmon

I have been reading the benefits to eating salmon. I thought it would be fun to have a change from the normal foods I make. This turned out really well. I was pleased.

1.75 Lb Salmon Fillet (I cut it up into 5 pieces)
1/4 C Soy Sauce
1/8 C Honey
1/4 C Olive Oil
1/4 C Water
Dash of Liquid smoke
1 T. Minced Garlic

1. Mix together ingredients (except salmon) in a bowl. Put cut up pieces of salmon in marinade for a couple hours.

2. Preheat barbecue on medium heat. Lightly oil grill. *

3. Put Salmon on grill skin side facing up. Cook about 8 min.

4. Turn over apply a little more marinade. Turn down to medium high and cook another 6- 8 min. Cook until it flakes with a fork.

5. I heated the remaining marinade on the stove it got thick in just a few minutes. Then I poured it over the cooked salmon. It tasted great! I will be making this again. It was a nice change from chicken. My husband really liked it. :)

* Every barbecue is different so you may have to adjust your temp. according to your barbecue.

  1. Craig and I had this for supper on Sunday. It was delicious. I had never used liquid smoke before and now I love it. We had leftovers and it was even better cold salmon for lunch.
